Our Executive/Artistic Director Joy Pace makes observations on our New Play Series: The Play’s the Thing 2019:

”Samuel French, NYCPlaywrights, New Play Exchange, Women and Media in the Arts…. these are a few of the great places I have learned that our play submission call out has been shared- I can only think that it is a great testament to the timeliness of the subject, and that there is such a strong need to reflect “Women Leading” in our society when society and politics are seeming to do all possible to do the opposite and disregard women. Theatre is a powerful medium- and must reflect society- and show us who we are, and what we are capable of!”

An estimated 200 playwrights have submitted about 300 plays, with 23 days left to submit.
