We have some theatrical talent in this town, and it’s on display this season!  Continuing this weekend and next at The Lake Charles Little Theatre is “And the Rain Came to Mayfield”, directed by IT’s own Joy Pace.  The acting and set are sound, and the theatrical experience, satisfying. The play’s theme takes one by surprise.  Lead actors are Cameron Scallan and Gabe Brown.  Both young men pull out all stops in portraying their finely painted characters.  Treat yourself to this short, intense journey to Mayfield, Mississippi 1962 in the hot summertime.  Or, if you have children and enjoy Disney and musicals, don’t miss The Children Theatre Company’s “Tarzan”, on stage this weekend only at Central School.  The young cast has worked months to bring this musical to life.  Meanwhile, closing this weekend in Orange, Texas is “Tuesdays with Morrie”, directed by IT’s Carolyn Woosley and garnering standing ovations each night.  (IT soon brings “…Morrie” to LC for one weekend only Thursday-Saturday, March 13-15.)   Support local theatre this weekend!  The choices are there for the taking
