IT’s November 2012 production, The Writers, scored big in the upcoming January 2013 issue of Metairie-based Louisiana Life magazine. On pg 14 find pictures of actor/producer Joy Pace, cast as Maggie and Rosa, two monologues from playwright/director Carolyn Woosley’s 13-play cycle Louisiana Women. The Writers featured three monologues from this play cycle: Baton Rouge’s Margaret Dixon (Maggie), St. Louis/Natchitoches area/New Orleans’s Kate Chopin (Kate) and Lake Charles’s Rosa Hart (Rosa).

Artistically Speaking Feature
Itinerant Theatre, Inc.’s inaugural production was a continuation of local playwright Carolyn Woosley’s 13- monologue series featuring historic Louisiana women. “American Press” photojournalist Karen Wink interviewed Woosley for this June 2012 posting of “Artistically Speaking” . Woosley discusses her writing process of “Louisiana Women” and this production of “The Firsts” which ran June 14-29, 2012 at the Imperial Calcasieu Museum.
