ITINERANT THEATRE BRINGS THIS WIDE NIGHT BY CHLöe MOSS TO THE LAKE AREA JANUARY 15, 16, 17, 24 & 25 AT CENTRAL SCHOOL A&H CENTER, SWLA

Itinerant Theatre (IT) brings to the Lake Area This Wide Night by Chlöe Moss. Performances are 7:00pm January 15, 16, 17 and 24, and one Sunday matinee 2:00pm, January 25. Location is Central School Arts & Humanities Center in the Benjamin Mount Theatre, 809 Kirby Street, Lake Charles. Tickets are $15, or $10 for students.

This Wide Night, a two-woman play by British writer Chlöe Moss, continues Itinerant Theatre’s 2014-15 theme of “America’s Unfinished Business: Freedom”. This pithy, pathos-filled, humor-filled play explores issues of identity, community and workforce realities of once imprisoned women who are re-entering society. Lorraine and Marie were unlikely best friends on the “inside”.  When they reconnect on the “outside”, what awaits?

This Wide Night has an all-professional SWLA cast and crew. Jordan Belle Ashworth plays Marie and Joy Pace plays Lorraine. Director/Sound Designer is Carolyn Woosley; Stage Manager is Jo Ann Hanks; Lighting Designer, Jonathon Richards; Assistant to the Director/Props Master, Ronnie Doyle; Tony Hanks, sound operator and Kory Lambert, crew. Set design and construction and scenic artwork are by Joy Pace.

The play has some strong language. There will be one (1) fifteen-minute intermission. Purchase tickets at www.itineranttheatre.com or at the door or reserve at (337) 436-6275.
Itinerant Theatre (IT), a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, provides affordable, professional theatre for artistically underserved communities and professional development for performing artists. IT works in found space in collaboration with other artistic venues and other performing arts.

This Wide Night is made possible in part by two grants: the SWLA Convention & Visitors’ Bureau Tourism Marketing Initiative Grant 2014-15 and the Decentralized Arts Funding Grant 2014-15, administered by the Arts & Humanities Council SWLA.
